Beauty Food: Recipes that inspire
We've all heard that beauty is an inside job. That's our mantra here at Pretty Well Beauty and our brand partners at Anima Mundi make it so fun, easy and inspiring to create beauty food and beverages to support hair, skin, nails and just overall beauty and vitality.
Here are some recipes to try out this season and beyond to support whatever your beauty goals are-deliciously.
Rose Milk Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
• 3 c warm plant based milk
• 1 Tbsp Rose powder
• 1/2 tsp Beet powder
• 1 tsp Mushroom Mocha Milk
• 2 tsp Maple Syrup
• 1/4 tsp Vanilla powder
• 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
DIRECTIONS: Blend all ingredients for 10-15 second, serve and enjoy! Another option is to add all ingredients to a small pot on the stove. With the burner on low heat, whisk ingredients together until well combined. Serve right as the liquid begins to froth and steam. Recipe + photo credit: @sculptedkitchen
Matcha + Sun Coconut Latte Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
• 2 tsp Matcha
• 1 tsp Golden Sun Milk
• 1/4 cup (100mL) coconut cream, divided (barista style: fit to whip)
• 1/4 cup (100mL) coconut water
• Ice as needed
• Spin it! Goes well with: vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
- Whip half of the coconut cream with a frother, adding the Matcha and some milk if it becomes too stiff.
2. Repeat the process with the other half of the coconut cream, but add Golden Sun Milk.
3. Spoon the Golden Sun cream into the bottom of your mug, and top it with ice. Then, gently pour the coconut water over the ice, and finish by spooning the Matcha milk on top.
Choco-banana Hazelnut Shake Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 frozen bananas
1 Tablespoon Cacao powder
1 tsp He Shou Wu
2 dates (pitted)
½ cup hazelnut milk
Chocolate hazelnut spread (to garnish the glass)
Coconut whip to top
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Peel and slice the frozen bananas if you haven't already. Pit the dates if needed.
Blend the Shake: Add the frozen bananas, Cacao powder, He Shou Wu, dates, and hazelnut milk into a blender. Blend everything until smooth and creamy. If the shake is too thick, you can add a little more hazelnut milk to reach your desired consistency.
Garnish the Glass: Before pouring the shake into glasses, swirl a little bit of chocolate hazelnut spread around the inside of the glass for extra flavor and a fun presentation.
Serve: Pour the shake into your prepared glasses and enjoy! You can optionally top it with coconut whip and a drizzle of more chocolate hazelnut spread for extra richness.
